During my career in the fashion industry, I noticed the huge amount of waste and overload of styles produced in factories. That’s why I chose a sustainable and conscious approach for my own brand, only working with ethical partners, using residue materials as much as possible, having a small stock, and making everything by hand, with as little use of chemical products as possible.

Galektica bags will age with you through the years and will only get nicer, especially vegetable-tanned leather items. This, for me, is the sustainable side of the leather. I only use cowhides whereas this is still a waste product.

I am looking into new materials which could replace leather. But for me, still, nothing is quite there yet and most vegan leathers are simply mixed with polyester which is also not the solution, and it doesn't age so nicely.

Vegetable-tanned leather is naturally dyed and from a factory in Italy that is working with the best sustainable standards and with European cowhides.
