Inspired by the iconic bum bags of the 1980s, the Moon Bag is a contemporary interpretation designed to carry all your daily essentials—from your wallet, phone, sunglasses, and makeup to an e-reader and even a small water bottle.
Its distinctive crescent shape sits comfortably against the body, making it both practical and effortless to wear. Structured enough to hold its shape while remaining comfortable throughout the day, the Moon Bag combines functionality with a clean, timeless silhouette. The adjustable strap allows it to be worn on the hip, over the shoulder, or crossbody.
The Moon Bag is also available in two smaller sizes. The Waning Moon offers a more compact version of the original design, while the New Moon is the smallest member of the family—perfect for carrying just the essentials.
All Moon Bags are handmade by me in my atelier in Broek in Waterland. I work in small quantities to ensure every piece remains unique and special. Whenever possible, I use European leather sourced from responsible tanneries, as well as stock leathers and leftover materials. Many styles are crafted in vegetable-tanned leather, which develops a beautiful patina over time and becomes increasingly personal with wear.
The Moon Bag can be customized in your preferred colors and finished with different straps, braids, whip lacing, or toggles. Whether you have a clear vision or would like to explore ideas together, I am happy to create a unique piece just for you.
